I thought the theme of “pop & colour” would be easy to fulfill, but I had one heck of a time trying to find an image that really isolated and highlighted one particular colour. This photo I recently took at the East Village isn’t a perfect representation, however I think it works quite well. I processed this image in Photoshop to bring out the red of the chair against the sidewalk and the rusty brown of the structure in front of it.
Most of my photos are a kaleidoscope of colours. I never gave too much thought to photographing pops of colour before so this theme has helped me to explore a different way of looking at and capturing colour.
This post is part of Blogging U’s Photo 101 Class, where I’ll be posting a photo each weekday with an interpretation of the given theme.
