big & point of view

Mountains might be too obvious (and easy) when it comes to depicting this theme, but as soon as I saw this shot while browsing through my old photos, I knew it would be perfect.  This was taken many years ago – I can’t even remember where exactly this is except I vaguely recall it being near Jasper, Alberta – when I was first dabbling in photography.  I took some awful photos back then (and honestly, still do) and I’m thinking what caught my eye was the little inukshuk-type figurine among the pile of loose rocks.  Little did I know that experimenting with framing the figurine down in the corner would result in magnifying the grandeur of the mountain behind it.  A total lucky shot, but I’ll take it.

This post is part of Blogging U’s Photo 101 Class, where I’ll be posting a photo each weekday with an interpretation of the given theme.
